Job Description

Job Title: Project Engineer – Automation & Process Development Rate: Competitive in line with skills / experience Type: Contract Our client a global medical products and technologies company currently have an urgent requirement for a skilled and driven Project Engineer to join our Global Engineering Operations team. This is a critical role that supports engineering projects focused on the integration of new equipment and process improvements that directly impact the production of existing product ranges. You will work across cross-functional teams to ensure our products are manufactured efficiently, at the highest quality, and in alignment with operational and cost expectations. Key Responsibilities: Act as a key contributor to the AWC automation project, supporting process development and new equipment integration from installation through to manufacturing handover. Lead and support FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ validation activities. Conduct design reviews with machinery vendors and collaborate on technical decisions. Manage change control processes and maintain associated documentation. Support production teams to maintain delivery targets and manufacturing efficiency. Drive continuous improvement (CI) and Lean process creation to reduce COGs and improve overall process capability. Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, GAMP5, FDA, and MHRA regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on engineering experience Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent problem-solving approach Proficient in SAP, MS Office, MS Project, CAD Trained in IQ, OQ, PQ validation principles Required Experience: Experience as an automation or process engineer Working knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments Expertise in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and project delivery Strong understanding of equipment performance, uptime, and process capability Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Interested?
