Communications and PR Executive (12-Month FTC) London Fixed-term Contract - 12 months A leading, well-known full-service law firm are looking for a talented Communications and PR Executive to join their dynamic Marketing and Communications team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you’ll play a key role in building and protecting the firm’s brand and reputation—across media relations, internal communications, digital content, and thought leadership campaigns. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated communications professional to make an impact within a highly respected, forward-thinking law firm. Responsibilities Develop and deliver PR plans for select practice areas, including media outreach, awards, and thought leadership. Build relationships with key trade, legal, and national media to generate positive press coverage. Draft and distribute press releases and manage incoming media enquiries. Run the day-to-day press office, maintaining coverage trackers, reporting tools, and contact lists. Provide media training and guidance to lawyers and partners. Support firm-wide internal and external comms campaigns across multiple channels. Collaborate with teams across CSR, Diversity & Inclusion, Graduate Recruitment, and Pro Bono to amplify initiatives internally and externally. Write and publish news content for the firm’s intranet and digital platforms. Help manage communications with the firm’s alumni network. Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to enhance the firm’s presence on platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram). Create engaging social media content in line with brand and messaging goals. Advise legal teams on social media best practices and strategies. Assist with the firm’s awards programme, from submissions to internal and external comms. Support the Business Development team and legal departments with legal directories processes. Collaborate with the Brand team to ensure consistent messaging across all campaigns and channels. Partner with HR and Graduate Recruitment to support employer brand initiatives. Deliver impactful communications for client campaigns and thought leadership pieces. Skills & Experience 2 years’ experience in a communications or PR role, ideally within professional services. Familiarity with the legal industry and its media landscape is a bonus. Experience in digital marketing and content creation desirable. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency with social media platforms and Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite a plus. A collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude. Organised, efficient, and able to juggle multiple priorities. Creative thinker with an eye for detail and brand consistency.
