Maths Functional Skills Tutor Location: Weston-super-Mare (BS232AL and BS228NL) and based in Bristol (BS11XH). Tuition is in-person at these locations so you must be able to reliably commute to one of these locations on a weekly basis Salary: £18 an hour plus holiday pay Hours: 4 hours available at Bristol, 14 hours at Weston-super-Mare. Applications may close sooner than this if sufficient tutor numbers have been met Start Date: They are seeking tutors based in Weston-super-Mare from 15th June in Bristol from 14th July Our client is an award-winning charity that supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop the skills they need to progress onto higher-level courses, apprenticeships, and into the workplace. They partner with colleges and employers to deliver tailored tuition for GCSE and Functional Skills, offering valuable extra support to help students secure gateway qualifications. The Role As a Flex Tutor, youll deliver small-group tuition (13 students) using their ready-to-go maths resources. Youll help unlock opportunities for learners who need a second chance at crucial gateway qualifications. No lesson planning needed- just focused delivery and meaningful student support during 1-hour sessions. Programmes will run for either three or six months. From 15th June: Monday 9am 10am, (3-month programme) Tuesday 9am 10am (6-month programme) Wednesday 9 am 12pm (3-month programme), 1:30pm 4:30pm (6-month programme) Friday 9am 10am (6-month programme), 11am 2:30pm (3-month programme) Bristol: Based at BS11XH. From 14th July: Tuesday 2pm 3pm, (3-month programme) 3pm 4:30pm (6-month programme) Wednesday 3pm 4:30pm (starting 19th May- 6-month programme) Thursday 2pm 3pm, (3-month programme) 3 - 4:30pm (6-month programme) Please note: You do not need to be available for all tuition hours provided but must be available to reliably commute to the given location for some of the required hours.
