About the location: A rare gem on Florida’s Gulf Coast of Southwest Florida, Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, is an exclusive collection of 156 luxurious beachfront private residences and a 222-room hotel all within a 125-acre walkable coastal village in the heart of Old Naples. The first of its kind, the Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons Resort, is paradise found. About the role: This position will not be onboarded until June 9th, 2025. To assist the Director of People and Culture with all aspects of the Human Resources division, including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention, communication, career development, wage & hour compliance, training, workers’ compensation, and legal matters related to resort employees. The Assistant Director will also deliver workplace learning, performance improvement programs, and initiatives to foster a culture of care and effective communication with employees. What you will do: Be part of the pre-opening team. Act as an objective third party in employee counseling, problem solving, or conflict situations, and communicate any legal issues to the Director of People & Culture. Identify, analyze, and resolve patterns of employee turnover; complete all Stay and Exit Interviews. Manage the P&C budget, including benefits, labor & salary reports, and plan cost-effective events. Conduct audits of insurance, I-9 records, vacation, and sick allowances. Administer and train employees on disciplinary actions, benefits, and cultural standards. Organize and supervise employee recreation programs, including holiday parties and general meetings. Support the full employee experience lifecycle at the resort. Respond to employee claims and attend related hearings involving EEOC, NLRB, Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment, and Wage & Hour. Support the Safety/Lead with Care Committee. Assist with Talent Acquisition tasks such as screening and interviewing for exempt roles; support line-level recruitment as needed. Coordinate property-wide recognition and appreciation programs. Engage actively as a leader and daily people-partner of the resort. Manage employee communications in partnership with the P&C team. Plan and execute employee relations activities like leadership meetings, town halls, and employee parties. Attend and represent People & Culture at management and employee events. Oversee benefits administration, working with third-party payroll and HR systems like Workday. Participate in Embark and other initiatives. Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of People & Culture. Supervise two direct reports: P&C Manager and P&C Generalist. What you will bring: College degree in HR Management, Business, or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 3 years' relevant experience; first-time Assistant Directors will not be considered. Experience in luxury hospitality preferred. High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong recruitment skills and effective communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, preferably Workday. Knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws. Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
