Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer (18th Edition) Department: Maintenance Reporting To: Technical Engineering Director / Maintenance Manager Purpose of the Role To provide day-to-day maintenance support, ensuring that all plant and machinery are maintained to a high standard for the safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility. Salary & Package Basic Salary: £43,570 On-Call Allowance: £8,026.80 Total Package: £51,597 per annum Work Pattern Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Includes ½ hour unpaid lunch break) On-Call Requirements Frequency: Every other week Call-Out Periods: Monday to Friday: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Sunday to Monday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 AM No cover required between Saturday 6:00 PM and Sunday 6:00 PM Key Responsibilities Follow safe working practices at all times to minimize risks in production areas Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all major plant equipment Assist with the implementation and management of the maintenance programme Complete required documentation for quality, health & safety, and environmental compliance Support management with the specification of new or modified equipment Work with Siemens PLCs, motors, and drives Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal Comply with all company policies on Quality, Health & Safety, and Environment Strictly follow hygiene protocols and standards Additional Duties This is not an exhaustive list. The role may include other tasks reasonably expected within the scope of responsibilities. Experience Required Strong understanding of electrical maintenance and factory machinery Practical mechanical and electrical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to quality and safety Positive, adaptable, and reliable attitude Qualifications 18th Edition certification One or more of the following: City & Guilds Level 3 9320 (Maintenance and Operations Technician) City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Technology Installation (2330) NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Apprenticeship JIB or CSCS card (or equivalent) Full, valid UK driving licence Benefits Company pension scheme Free cash health scheme 28 days holiday per annum (including 8 bank holidays) On-site subsidised canteen Free car parking Uniform provided
