A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Intervention and Boosters) to join their team immediately. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a vibrant, single-form entry primary school that caters for pupils from Nursery to Year 6. Committed to adapting teaching to meet the full range of abilities and needs, the school prides itself on helping every pupil thrive, succeed, and become a future change-maker. The role focuses on delivering targeted intervention sessions for Year 4 and Year 5 pupils to boost progress in literacy. The school currently uses Literacy Shed and has previously worked with Ready Steady Write programmes. Your sessions will be crucial in raising attainment levels and building students’ confidence. The position is ideally 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) with flexible 1-hour booster sessions to fit the right candidate’s schedule. The ideal Teaching Assistant (Intervention and Boosters) will: • Have experience supporting literacy interventions in Key Stage 2 • Bring energy, patience, and a nurturing approach to every session • Be committed to raising progress levels and inspiring young learners • Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver impactful learning We offer Teaching Assistants: • £100–£120 per day • A supportive, close-knit team and an inclusive school ethos • Flexibility to structure intervention sessions creatively • An opportunity to truly make a difference in pupils’ lives Why work via Teach Now?
