Job Description

Maintenance Engineer £35.00 per hour Overtime (1.5x / 2x) Runcorn - 3-Shift Rotation (Earlies / Lates / Nights) gap technical is proud to be representing a leading national manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their site near Runcorn. Key Responsibilities Install, test, and maintain plant equipment, services, and buildings on-site. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency. Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Complete GMP assessments and ensure compliance; report and act on findings. Assist the Senior Shift Engineer in implementing cost-saving and efficiency improvements. Candidate Profile Time-served Engineering Apprenticeship (Level 3 or higher). Electrically biased (essential). Experience in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical manufacturing (advantageous). Confident with computer systems and maintenance software. Strong communication skills-able to liaise across all levels. Resilient under pressure and able to prioritise effectively.
