Job Description
Reporting to the Director for Social Healthcare Programme, the Centre Manager (CM), Social Healthcare, is entrusted with leading strategic directions, managing manpower, and overseeing daily operations of the assigned Eldercare Centre to fulfill its intended purposes as stipulated by the funders and LBSA. Responsibilities: A) Management Role Staff Management - Recruit, manage, deploy, and develop Centre staff. Management Reporting - Provide timely reports to Senior Management, including Management Committee members. B) Strategic Planning Community Outreach - Develop community outreach plans and educate seniors about Active Ageing Programmes. Relationship Management - Develop strategies for asset mapping, strengthen existing relationships, identify new community partners, and engage them to support senior services. Volunteer Management - Oversee, recruit, train, and develop volunteer management plans. C) Centre Operations Key Performance Indicators - Monitor KPIs closely, and implement measures for volunteer and senior recruitment, retention, and participation. Serving Seniors - Formulate customized guidelines to meet seniors' needs and handle challenging service users. Community Outreach - Lead the implementation, review, and evaluation of the Master Community Outreach Plan. Relationship Management - Lead engagement with community partners to build sustainable partnerships. Programmes and Activities - Lead regular reviews, planning, implementation, and evaluation of programmes. Recruitment of Members - Promote and advertise AAC programmes regularly to seniors in designated blocks. Volunteer Management - Identify suitable roles for volunteers to contribute to client services. Financial Reporting - Ensure adherence to the budget, perform checks and controls, and prepare timely reports. D) Other Duties Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director/HOD/SCM. Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences (e.g., Social Work, Gerontology) preferred. At least 5 years of experience in operational roles, preferably in social service centers related to Eldercare. Prior supervisory experience with at least 2 staff members reporting. Strong stakeholder management skills to develop and maintain community partnerships. Strong interpersonal skills; a team player capable of working independently.
