Role Overview We are looking for a Simulation Engineer Intern to support the sizing and simulation of energy storage systems using MATLAB/Simulink . You will work closely with our R&D team to develop and validate models for supercapacitor-battery hybrid systems in automotive, aerospace, maritime, and industrial applications . Key Responsibilities Develop MATLAB/Simulink models to simulate supercapacitor and battery hybrid systems . Perform system sizing, optimization, and validation for different use cases. Analyze energy efficiency, power delivery, and thermal performance in real-world applications. Support the validation of simulation results with experimental data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and material scientists . Document findings and contribute to technical reports and presentations . Required Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field . Strong proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and simulation. Basic understanding of energy storage systems , including supercapacitors and batteries . Knowledge of power electronics, vehicle electrification, or hybrid energy systems is a plus. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python or C/C++ for numerical simulations. Familiarity with control systems and optimization techniques . Prior experience with automotive, aerospace, or industrial applications of energy storage. Why Join Novac?
