Senior Software Engineer - Java Technologies

Join us in our cause to build a world-class fintech company in Description : The candidate will lead the technical roadmap for the data platform team, which consists of 5-10 talented but possibly inexperienced team members. The candidate will typically perform the following roles. - Lay out the technical roadmap for the next n months from time to time. - Mentor junior engineers in the form of code reviews and knowledge sharing about coding and design best practices. - Coding and system design for new features and bug fixes. - Take care of Operations excellence by monitoring production : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Expertise in Java: Deep understanding of core Java concepts, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. - Experience with Java Frameworks: Proven experience with one or more major Java frameworks such as Spring (including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), Jakarta EE (formerly Java EE), or others relevant to the role. - Database Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). Ability to design and optimize database schemas and queries. - API Development: Experience in designing and developing RESTful or other types of APIs. - Version Control: Proficient with Git and common Git workflows. - Build Tools: Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. - Testing Frameworks: Solid understanding and practical experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG) and integration testing. - Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a knack for identifying and resolving complex technical challenges. - Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, : - Good working knowledge on kubernetes. - Experience in Google Cloud Platform and its data analytics products like BigQuery etc. - Previous experience working in a data platform team will be helpful. - Experience with Apache Flink.
