Software Product Owner (JB5308) Remote (Cape Town or Gauteng) R800 000 to R840 000 Annually CTC Permanent Drive product innovation and improvement in a global travel retail technology environment, delivering cutting-edge solutions across food, beverage, duty-free, and service channels. As a Software Product Owner, you will define product vision, translate business needs into clear technical requirements, and guide agile teams to deliver impactful software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with international B2B and B2C stakeholders, and play a key part in shaping customer experience and product strategy within a flexible and dynamic hybrid work culture Minimum Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 or A-Levels Relevant tertiary qualification or Informatics degree Postgraduate degree, Honours, Business Analyst diploma, BABOK, Agile Certification, or Certified Scrum Product Owner (Preferred) Minimum 5 years experience as a Product Owner on software development projects Minimum 2 years experience in agile software development environments Product Owner or Business Analyst experience in the retail industry Strong verbal and written communication Logical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking Stakeholder and team management Leadership and soft skills Customer-focused approach Presentation and project management skills Analytical, methodical, and detail-oriented Delivery-driven self-starter Structured work style and strong organizational skills Results-driven and proactive Strong time management, adaptability, and resilience Effective interpersonal and team collaboration Ethical, honest, and emotionally mature Ability to manage variable workloads and respond calmly under pressure Duties and Responsibilities: Elicit, analyze, document, and communicate business requirements (Agile and Waterfall formats) Define product vision, scope, acceptance, and implementation plans Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure clear communication to development teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales) to deliver product features Translate business data into actionable insights to improve systems and processes Analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback for continuous improvement Consult with internal and external customers to understand their needs and value chains Build and maintain strong customer relationships Challenge business assumptions to clarify intent and ensure effective solutions Guide business analysts and UX/UI designers on product requirements Determine project feasibility and estimate duration based on experience Facilitate Design Thinking workshops Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure delivery meets requirements Please do not apply using Scanned CVs, no supporting documentation is required at this point, this will be requested later.
