UNDERWRITER - PIETERMARITZBURG

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an UNDERWRITER for a well-established, growing concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. REQUIREMENTS Grade 12. Valid drivers license / own reliable transport Relevant qualification/s. Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). English speaking (must be able to speak, read and write English competently). 10yrs previous working experience with 5 yrs in a leadership role. Knowledge in liquidations and estates administration. Risk assessment and decision making. Policy development - collaborating with leadership to establish and refine underwriting guidelines, policies, and best practices. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards in all underwriting decisions. Review and audit underwriting decisions to maintain consistency and adherence to policies. Communicating with department heads. Responsible for implementing policies and procedures, measuring outcomes against standards, and improving the general operational flow.
