Job Description Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all aspects of infrastructure. This hands-on role requires a keen understanding of system-environment interactions to benefit clients. The role has two main components: contributing to ongoing projects by analyzing issues, offering solutions, testing, modifying, automating, and integrating systems, especially focusing on Mainframe Architecture; and engaging in long-term strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operations. The role is platform-agnostic, requiring a broad understanding of various systems, offering diverse experiences and growth opportunities at Kyndryl. Early involvement in projects allows specialists to propose solutions, assess feasibility, and identify risks related to technical and timelines, addressing client expectations and internal challenges. Successful specialists often become trusted by clients, who request them by name, reflecting their impact. This project-based position involves deep engagement throughout project lifecycles and collaboration with Architects, Technicians, and Project Managers.
