Receptionist

Reception/Security Support Location: Inverness Contract Type: 12 weeks Are you organised, approachable, and passionate about providing excellent front-line service? ASA are working with a public sector client who are seeking a friendly, outgoing and approachable Reception/ Security Support professional to join their team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors—helping us maintain a secure and welcoming environment while providing essential administrative support. What You’ll Do: Greet and assist visitors, staff, and contractors at the reception desk, ensuring smooth security and visitor management. Respond to general enquiries in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner. Operate relevant systems and equipment required to carry out daily tasks. Plan and organise your workload effectively, using your discretion to solve problems and escalate issues as needed. Support safety and security protocols, including fire evacuation attendance duties. What We’re Looking For: Experience in a similar reception, administrative, or customer-facing role OR qualifications equivalent to Standard Grades in English and Maths. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks. Competency in using standard office software and equipment. A proactive team player with great organisational and customer service skills. Awareness of health and safety procedures and commitment to high standards of service delivery. Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to work autonomously when required. Desirable Skills: A valid driving licence or access to transport. Knowledge of Gaelic (not essential but welcomed as part of our Gaelic Language Plan). Additional Requirements: This post is subject to a Disclosure Scotland check.
