Role: Marketing Assistant Location: Salford Quays, Greater Manchester Salary Range: £25,000 to £27,000 depending on experience About Marick We’re Marick – an integrated events and marketing agency with a passion for producing standout content and delivering engaging live and virtual experiences. The Opportunity We’re on the lookout for a talented and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our small but dynamic team based in Salford Quays. In this role, you’ll support both Marick and our clients by creating impactful marketing content and helping to deliver high-quality campaigns across multiple platforms. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone with strong copywriting skills, a solid understanding of marketing approaches and social media (including paid promotions), and a passion for content creation. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll work across a range of exciting client and in-house projects, helping to bring ideas to life and supporting our creative team. Key responsibilities include: Developing and executing Marick’s own marketing strategy alongside the marketing coordinator and business owner. Managing and growing social media channels for both Marick and clients, including content creation, calendar development, scheduling, posting, and running paid campaigns. Creating high-quality, engaging written content for digital and print collateral – including web copy, newsletters, brochures, reports, and more. Collaborating with our design and video teams you’ll have a flair for bringing content to life visually. Updating client websites with fresh news and content (basic WordPress skills helpful). Producing monthly social media performance reports. Creating and distributing email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp. Supporting our events programme by developing and implementing promotional plans. You may also be on site supporting logistics and delivery. Supporting the wider team across projects and services as needed. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who is creative, confident, and organised – a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves collaborating on a range of exciting projects. Essential Skills & Experience: A qualification in marketing communications or similar discipline. At least one year’s experience in a marketing or similar creative role. Strong copywriting and communication skills – spelling, grammar, and tone must be top-notch. Solid understanding of key social media platforms, especially Instagram and LinkedIn– including experience with paid promotions. Strong planning and organisational skills with an eye for detail. Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Desirable (but not essential): Experience with design tools (Canva, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator). Basic understanding of WordPress and website content management. Driving licence and own transport.
