Junior Accountant

Qualifications and experience: Minimum three years experience in a finance or an accounting role with strong financial analytical skills and reporting. Advanced Excel knowledge and skills is non-negotiable. Experience with financial management and/or reporting systems. Experience in performing the full accounting function up to TB. Matric/ grade 12 or equivalent. Diploma, degree or equivalent accounting or finance-related qualification. Understanding of data privacy standards. Solid communication skills, both written and verbal. Broad understanding of business principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail. Exceptional organisational skills. Duties and responsibilities: Financial analysis/build financial models. A basic knowledge of Payroll and employment regulation Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company (Xero accounting, online management system, payroll, invoicing, and other transactions). Contract creditors and debtors as required. Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement. Research and analyse financial reports. Review financial data and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports. Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial management and reporting purposes.
