Job Description Get to Know the Team Come join the Consumer Experience & Communications (Corex) Engineering team - we work on a diverse set of consumer problems spanning across core experiences, that power how our users experience and interact with Grab Apps & platform. We are on an exciting mission to connect consumers to Grab's marketplace by allowing them to discover and engage with Grab's services and partners. Get to Know the Role You will be responsible for building, growing, and leading a team of engineers focused on delivering high quality deliverables. You will have opportunities to develop backend & fullstack components. Not only will you get to collaborate with the engineers, product, business, data scientists and program management teams to be on top of your deliverables, but you will also serve as a mentor to your teammates to help them grow. This role will be based in Singapore and onsite at Grab office. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform Lead a team of full stack & QA engineers. Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards. Partner with cross functional leaders across product, design, analytics, data science to build the product roadmap, set customer-focused metrics and experiment designs. Lead quarterly/half-yearly planning and build a smooth execution plan for product and engineering roadmap delivery. Set engineering strategy and key result targets, and improve testability, availability, security, and code quality. Drive engineering improvements for new product capabilities and platform enhancements. Attract, retain, mentor, and develop engineering talent within the team and across Grab. Align staffing with business needs and adapt to changing requirements. Qualifications What Essential Skills You Will Need 8 years of engineering experience in backend / Fullstack technologies. At least 2 years experience as a successful software engineering manager, with hands-on involvement in tech solutioning. Experience attracting and retaining talent, and mentoring engineers. Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.). Experience with database design, MySQL, PostgreSQL. Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
