Cable Jointer, 33kVPower Networks, Transmission & DistributionPeterborough, Ipswich, Norwich, Colchester, Bury St Edmonds, ReadingPermanent £40-45,000 van fuel card for business use pensionCIS is available too, £250 per dayJob Ref: J113760COur team installs and maintains distribution networks and ensures reliable connections for customers. Carrying out electrical planned work, customer connections and network reinforcement. You are you a skilled and motivated Cable Jointer looking to join a dynamic team.* You'll use manuals, asset standards, and technical info to help with installations and remedial works. * You'll get hands-on with high voltage switchgear, transformers, and other equipment, and you'll install earthing systems and outdoor gear like bus bars, disconnectors, and switchgear. * You will also install new pillars and cut-outs. * You will complete necessary paperwork and updating tablet-based works management system* Safety is a top priority, so you'll work according to our safety systems and permit to work systems. * You'll need to be adaptable, responding to unpredicted events and planning effectively without supervision.* You'll work both independently and as part of a team, mentoring and coaching less experienced staff and apprentices to help them grow. * We're looking for someone who is always eager to learn new skills and stay updated with the latest industry standards.* You will have a high degree of manual dexterity? You will bring:* NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline or completed an approved Apprenticeship* Ability to act as a competent person to receive safety documentation* Experience in terminating Inner Cone and T-Boot cable terminations* Experience in installing Indoor / Outdoor Raychem 33kV terminations* Experience in Jointing XLPE to XLPE / XLPE to PILC 33kV cable Joints* Experience in dressing and cleating above ground terminations* CSCS card, and ideally SSSTS or SMSTS* Emergency First Aid and ideally First Aid at Work (3 or 4 day)* Valid clean UK driving licence* UKPN or SSEN Operational Authorisations is preferred * NRSWA accreditations is beneficial * Valid clean UK driving licenceWhat our client offers:Matched or contributory pension scheme Company van/vehicle and fuel card for business use This role is fully on siteWould suit a Project Engineer, Operations Engineer, Site Manager, Cabling Site SupervisorTo apply speak to Cindy AndersonWe also have roles in Project Engineering, Site Management, Operations Management, Site Engineering, Design, Health and Safety and Compliance
