Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg - $1,944 to $2,016 per week in Clearlake, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit (RN – Med/Surg) Job Description: The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, patient-centered nursing care to a diverse population across the lifespan. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Med/Surg RN ensures patient safety, accurate assessments, timely interventions, and effective coordination of care. This position may include occasional ICU coverage , so ICU experience is a strong asset. Key Responsibilities: Assess and document physiological, psychosocial, cultural, and cognitive needs of each patient. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families. Provide thorough, safe, and continuous care, including administering medications, monitoring responses, and evaluating outcomes. Accurately document interventions and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR). Support patients through education, discharge planning, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Participate in orientation and mentoring of new staff and students. Comply with all regulatory, infection control, safety, and ethical standards. Float to ICU as needed within scope of competency. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing – Required Current RN license in California – Required Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience – Required (RN II or higher) ICU experience – Preferred Basic computer skills – Required Ability to provide age-appropriate care from adolescent to geriatric populations
