With matchdays, concerts, conferences, and banquets to be catered for, our specialist teams are experts in adapting to our client's needs with locally sourced seasonal menu's. General Manager - Rotherham United Football Club Overview The General Manager is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across Rotherham United Football Club's matchday hospitality, retail operations, and events held within the stadium's function spaces. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the General Manager will lead operational planning, budget management, and performance monitoring to drive profitability, contract retention, and fan satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership in the daily execution of operations and the implementation of best practices across all departments. The General Manager will ensure that all activities align with the club's strategic objectives and uphold high standards, fostering a dedicated and high-performing team environment. What you'll be doing Leadership & Operations Management Ensure a first-class guest experience is delivered across all Rotherham United FC venues, supporting department heads and frontline teams as needed. Lead and contribute to the Club's hospitality and matchday operations, event planning, and daily activities. Manage day-to-day operational issues through effective leadership and communication. Oversee planning and execution of hospitality, retail, and event operations at the AESSEAL New York Stadium. Cultivate a results-driven culture of continuous improvement. Coordinate club-wide operational activities with attention to detail and efficiency. Financial & Compliance Management Drive commercial growth through cost control, high standards of service, and performance analysis. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, food hygiene standards, licensing laws, and safeguarding policies. Team Development & Recruitment Provide clear leadership across departments, ensuring effective people management and staff engagement. Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing colleagues, with a strong focus on training, development, and succession planning. Foster a collaborative culture, maintaining strong internal communication and external stakeholder relationships, including key club partners and sponsors. Fan Experience & Club Relations Design and deliver innovative food and beverage services that enhance the fan experience, within budget and in line with the club's identity. Report regularly to the Operations Manager and senior leadership team. Act as a key liaison between internal departments and external event partners to ensure cohesive and successful operations.
