Graduate Consultant

Junior Consultant Location: Oxfordshire (office-based with potential for hybrid working in the future) Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £25,000 - £28,000, with benefits and potential for profit-sharing Start Date: ASAP Overview: Our client is an established environmental consultancy based in Oxfordshire, providing expert advice and support to a range of industries, including planning, energy, and development. Role Overview: They are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented consultant to join their team. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with early career experience looking to develop their expertise in environmental consulting. The role involves working on a variety of projects, supporting technical assessments, data analysis, and project management tasks. It will be primarily desk-based, but there may be opportunities to visit client sites. The successful candidate will contribute to research, reporting, and delivering client-focused solutions. Key Skills & Qualifications: Education & Experience: A Level Mathematics (or equivalent) is required. A minimum of a 2:1 in a relevant degree (BSc, BEng, or MSc) such as Environmental Science, Geography, Meteorology, etc. Previous consultancy experience (1-2 years) is preferred but not essential; relevant internships or placements will also be considered. Technical Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with air quality dispersion modelling (e.g., ADMS Roads) is desirable, though training will be provided. Familiarity with GIS software and data analysis is a plus. Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R would be beneficial. Experience with laboratory skills such as optical microscopy is an advantage.
