Job Description
InCommon is hiring for a company that invented satellite-direct-to-standard-phone (sat2phone) technology and holds the world's only FCC commercial license for such operations. This groundbreaking service enables mobile network operators (MNOs) to offer global connectivity allowing users to send and receive text messages via unmodified mobile phones directly from satellites. With regulatory approvals in 30 countries and commercial contracts covering ~50 nations, this company is redefining mobile connectivity for the entire planet. Responsibilities : - Design and build an automation test framework from scratch for satellite-based cellular tower systems, with a strong emphasis on C/C++ development - Lead testing of the full telecommunications stack from lab simulations to real-world field deployments - Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end test plans, detailed test procedures, and robust automated test scripts - Perform both manual and automated testing using tools and languages like C/C++, Python, ROBOT Framework, etc. - Use diagnostic tools like Wireshark, QXDM, iPerf, and more to analyze and resolve network-related issues Requirements : - 4 years of experience testing GSM, LTE, 2G, and 4G cellular communication systems. - Strong understanding of GSM/LTE architecture, 3GPP protocols, and telecom standards. - Proven experience in building test automation frameworks, with C/C++as a primary development language. - Experience in developing automated test cases for complex telecom systems. - Proficient in Linux, C/C++, and Bash scripting. - Hands-on experience with telecom/network tools like QXDM, Wireshark, Spirent, and IXIA. - Solid grasp of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and networking fundamentals. - Object-Oriented Programming knowledge with strong expertise inC/C++, along with working knowledge of Python or Java. - Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible. - Excellent analytical, debugging, and technical documentation skills. - Experience working with software-defined radios (SDRs). - Exposure to wireless communication testing equipment and lab setups. - Interest in reverse engineering, protocol analysis, or network forensics. - Comfortable balancing manual testing for new features while gradually building automation infrastructure.
