No County Albany Street Address 1220 Washington Ave., State Campus, Building 18 City Albany StateNY Zip Code12226 Duties Description • Process photos and vehicle condition inspection reports for vehicles located in various locations in and around Albany, NY and surrounding counties. Upload photos into a secure file for OGS Surplus Program personnel to utilize for processing online auction listings. Accompany potential buyers to the OGS Surplus Program lot for inspections of vehicles listed online. Accompany buyers or the buyer's agent to the OGS Surplus Program lot for pick up/removal upon sale of vehicles. Process keys and paperwork for buyers: o Ensure that the title and bill of sale are completed after verification of VIN and vehicle description matches the sold vehicle. o Promptly provide keys and paperwork to the buyer, or the buyer's agent, to complete the transaction. Verify that the buyer or the buyer's agent are authorized to take possession of the vehicle. Communicate to administrative staff complete vehicle transactions to maintain accurate records of sold vehicles. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Other duties as assigned. Operational Needs: Maintain a valid NYS driver's license. Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this class. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
