Quantity Surveyor West Yorkshire Sector: Regional Build £55k - £60k Car Allowance Package (Depending on Level and Experience) My Client, who I have worked with for many years are a well-established regional contractor with a West Yorkshire base, due to contract wins, are now looking to bolster the Commercial team with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor to cover sites in West and North Yorkshire. Although the majority of projects will be in the affordable Housing sector this contractor prides itself in delivering snag-free builds up to £5m, so prefers its managers to come from a general contracting background this also gives flexibility when non-housing projects are awarded. You will be reporting into the commercial manager and be will be a very much part of the commercial team. Job Role & Responsibilities: Duties/Responsibilities: Control of commercial matters initially on a specific project including production of cashflow and forecasting Procurement, selection and management of subcontractor accounts from award to final account Completion of monthly valuations submitting applications as required by the company/Contract requirements Valuation of variations, preparation and submission of quotations/compensation events as required Monitoring of the contract programme identifying/raising early warnings/potential variations/quotations Liaising with the Client/Clients representative on commercial issues Carrying out internal cost value management of projects producing monthly project management reports for review with senior management Qualifications/Background: Preferably BSc degree qualified (Quantity Surveying) Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience Experience of NEC4 (Option A) would be desirable Ideally will have worked in the industrial & commercial sectors In return you will be working for a great name in the region with an experienced team who operate in a very positive working environment with a great atmosphere.
