Purpose of role: IT Support Specialistwill provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for computer systems, hardware, software, and networks, ensuring smooth operation and productivity for internal and external users.They will diagnose and resolve problems, install and test new hardware/software, and may also train users on new systems. They will also manage new projects and provide a backup to the Netsuite development manager as required. The role will involve: Troubleshooting: Assist in Diagnosing and fixing technical issues, providing clear explanations and solutions together with our external provider. Hardware and Software: Install & configure new hardware and software applications as necessary End-User Support: Assist users with various IT problems, both in person and remotely, via phone or teams, backed by FSC s external IT support company Training: Teach users how to use new & existing software and hardware and provide ongoing support.(e.g. MS365 including Power BI) Documentation: Maintain records of troubleshooting procedures, solutions, projects and software procedures. Project Management Project manage IT projects as necessary for new and enhanced software to improve the productivity of FSC Group systems. Netsuite IT Manager backup To provide backup for the Netsuite IT Manager, especially in areas not covered by the Cloud Tamers and assist the Netsuite IT manager when required. Sustainability Efficiency and IT monitoring To work with the sustainability staff to improve the company s performance in this area using automation/ change in working practises etc Best Practises To set up IT Best Practices for FSC Group Qualifications Essential 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English / educated to A Level standard/ educated to HND level Preferred IT Graduate or equivalent Experience Similar Role in another organisation or IT graduate/equivalent preferred Exposure to understanding of business processes Skills and Qualifications : Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of computer hardware, software and networks. Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems effectively. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide friendly and helpful support to users. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and develop solutions. Patience and Empathy: Ability to work with users who may have different levels of technical expertise.
