Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer III to lead the development and implementation of large-scale AWS region migration solutions. This role demands expertise in designing migration-friendly cloud applications, building automation tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition across AWS regions. You will play a critical part in designing migration strategies, writing clean and scalable code, and contributing to system architecture that supports cross-region deployments in a secure, resilient, and cost-effective manner. Key Responsibilities : - Design and build scalable software tools for AWS region migration use cases. - Develop automation scripts and frameworks for migration workflows and deployment pipelines. - Modify applications to ensure cross-region compatibility, resilience, and performance. - Build and maintain monitoring, validation, and rollback tools to ensure migration accuracy. - Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to streamline migration execution. - Participate in architecture and design reviews to ensure systems meet both functional and non-functional requirements. - Write and maintain clean, testable, and reusable code using best practices and coding standards. - Design CI/CD pipelines for automated application testing, packaging, and deployment. - Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform. Required Qualifications : - 4 years of professional software development experience (excluding internships). - 3 years of experience designing scalable and reliable systems. - Strong command of Java and familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. - Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, Route 53, and more. - Expertise in distributed systems, high availability architecture, and performance optimization. - Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline). - Strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus). - Ability to write infrastructure code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar tools. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Experience with AWS SDK/CLI, AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Config. - Experience building resilient applications that span across multiple AWS regions (ref:hirist.tech)
