Senior Java Developer - Spring Boot & Microservices Architecture

Job Title : Senior Java Developer Spring Boot & Microservices Experience : 7 Years Location : Pune / Hyderabad Employment Type : Full-time Job Overview : We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to become a key contributor within our backend engineering team, located in Pune or Hyderabad. This is a full-time role for someone with 6 to 7 years of solid experience in Java-based backend development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building robust, scalable systems using Spring Boot and microservices architecture, and is capable of leading initiatives while ensuring best practices in design and implementation. You will be responsible for developing backend services that power our enterprise applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-performance solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain backend components and applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. - Architect and implement RESTful microservices that are scalable, secure, and maintainable. - Write high-performance and optimized SQL queries, ensuring database efficiency and integrity. Work with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle. - Participate in architectural discussions, contribute to technology roadmaps, and provide guidance on system design and scalability. - Take ownership of backend modules, from requirement analysis to deployment and maintenance in production environments. - Implement and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high code quality. - Work closely with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery. - Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end features. - Monitor, profile, and improve application performance and ensure high availability and observability of services. - Stay up-to-date with emerging backend technologies and propose continuous improvements for development efficiency and performance. Must-Have Skills : - 67 years of hands-on experience in Java development with strong object-oriented programming concepts. - Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security for building secure and scalable services. - Strong knowledge of microservices architecture including inter-service communication patterns (REST, messaging, service discovery, etc.). - Solid experience with SQL databases and performance tuning for PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle. - Proven ability to design and consume RESTful APIs, including versioning, authentication, error handling, and logging best practices. - Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication and event-driven architecture. - Familiar with source control systems like Git, build tools such as Maven or Gradle, and experience in working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). - Understanding of containerization tools such as Docker and basic knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus. Preferred Qualities : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and self-driven approach. - Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience in working in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. - Ability to mentor junior developers and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
