Software Test Automation Engineer - Energy Domain

Responsibilities : - Verifying and validating various digitalization (Energy Domain) software functions through test automation procedures and scripts, ensuring that control applications and functions are balanced. - This includes reviewing, developing, testing, and maintaining scripts for various functions. - Performing bug analysis, bug testing through automated scripts. - Developing test software for non-functional tests like performance, stress, load tests, etc. - Being responsible for test automation and its execution as per the prescribed test strategy to ensure that the software application complies with implicit & explicit requirements. - Reviewing user/software requirements documentation with relevant stakeholders. - Specifying & executing automation scripts based on analyzed requirements and test strategy. - Automating test cases using Selenium (Cucumber) using the programming language Java. - Reporting errors in the bug tracking tool and tracking the issues to closure, incl. support of defect investigation, validating defect fixes. - Working on Version control like Git, Subversion. - Building test documentations, including test specifications, impact testing, and ensuring product and process quality as per customer requirements. - Building test reports, including defect logging and test result logging, defect analysis, RCA, and summary reports. - Supporting developers/testers for the analysis of bugs by making automation : - Good programming skills (Preferred in Selenium/ Cucumber with Java). - Knowledge of Test Automation (concepts & goals) and Web-based product test automation. - Experience in different kinds of test automation frameworks. - Knowledge of CI/CD, Git Lab, Jenkins. - Experience in Regression, Load, and Performance testing. (test design, test execution). - Experience in any automation test tools (like Selenium, BDD, JMeter). - B. E/B. Tech graduate in Computer Science or Electronics/Electrical or MCA with 4-8 years of experience in software test automation. (ref:hirist.tech)
