Job Description Job Description ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER – SPECIAL EDUCATION United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry has the pleasure of assisting a successful, private, special education school who is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to teach elementary school students who have special learning needs. Salary - $70,000-$80,000 Depending on experience Excellent benefits package – Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Program Days/Hours : M-F, 7:55a.m. to 2:45p.m., with the exception of Tuesdays and Wednesdays when there are after school meetings at 3:30p.m. and 4:00p.m. Responsibilities for the Special Education Teacher: Create academic plans and goals based on assessment data Monitor and analyze each student’s progress related to communication, academics, behavior and social skills Involvement in the IEP process Work with service providers, home base providers, parents and the multidisciplinary team Requirements for the Special Education Teacher: Minimum of a MA in Special Education or a related field NYS Certification in Special Education Birth-Grade 2 or Grades 1-6 Minimum of 3 years previous experience teaching elementary school students with learning disabilities Must have prior experience teaching elementary school in a special education setting Highly skilled in the IEP process Ability to work with parents, teachers and faculty Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to provide 3 employment references Company Description At United Staffing Solutions: We match consultants with rewarding careers where they can fully utilize their specialized talent to not only thrive but to also advance their skills.
