Application Engineer

Role Overview: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Applications Engineer to join our growing team. This is a field-based role with responsibility across the Midlands Area. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive training for customers’ personnel in the safe and competent operation and programming of CNC machine tools. Manage projects professionally, ensuring they are delivered to the agreed engineering specification, on time, and within budget, while maintaining full documentation and traceability. Utilize the company’s Field Service App daily to log completed tasks and highlight any issues arising during customer visits. Continuously develop product knowledge, attending training sessions on new machine models and control systems as needed. Travel extensively across the UK and Ireland, with frequent overnight stays during the working week. Candidate Requirements: Essential: Siemens programming experience. Essential: Experience with Heidenhain controls. Advantageous: Familiarity with 5-axis machining centres and multi-tasking turning centres, plus knowledge of Fusion 360. A time-served engineer with a minimum of 5 years' hands-on CNC turning and milling applications experience. Recognised engineering apprenticeship qualification. Based in the Midlands area.
