Job description: Caters Media Group is seeking a talented journalist to join our team, dedicated to discovering and delivering exceptional stories from social media. In this role, you will be responsible for unearthing the most compelling narratives, conducting in-depth interviews, and crafting engaging content tailored for our social media platforms. Your ability to find and tell extraordinary stories will be crucial in captivating our audience. The ideal candidate will possess strong journalism skills, including the ability to write compelling copy and script captivating edits for social media videos. Given that our primary audience consists of young females (16-21), a deep understanding of this demographic will enhance your ability to create content that resonates with and engages them effectively. If you have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for unique content, and an understanding of current social media trends, we invite you to bring your expertise to CMG and help us make an impact with unforgettable stories. Responsibilities: Identify video content from multiple platforms before it goes viral and to fit customer briefs in a short space of time. Use people skills and sense of humour to contact and negotiate with content creators whose videos have the potential to go viral. The content creators are located across the globe so contact times will need to be tailored to their time zones. Handoff tasks and communicate effectively with teams in other offices. React to breaking news scenarios to remotely source content. Ensure vital admin is completed fully and accurately. Comfortable working to deliver performance targets set by the line-manager. Scripting and reviewing edits for social media videos. Interviewing contributors to further unpack amazing stories, both written and video. Writing copy to strong standard. Keeping a firm grip on social media trends and the analytics of our own socials. Location: · Birmingham (In office) Qualifications: · Educated to degree level in Journalism Salary: · £24,000.00 per year Schedule: · Monday to Sunday
