SRE Software Engineer - Assistant Vice President - Wissen Technology

Role: SRE Software Engineer Title: Associate/AVP Location: Montreal, Canada (Locals or Nearby Preferred) Experience: 6-8 Years Mode of Work: Onsite 3 days per week We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer with strong MongoDB administration and Python scripting skills to help build and maintain scalable, reliable systems. You’ll be responsible for automating infrastructure, ensuring database performance, and supporting critical services in a cloud-native environment. Responsibilities: Manage and optimize MongoDB clusters (replication, backups, performance). Automate ops tasks and infrastructure using Python. Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and improve reliability. Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. Collaborate with dev and data teams to ensure uptime and performance. Requirements: 6 years in SRE/DevOps roles. Hands-on MongoDB administration experience. Strong Python scripting skills. Experience with Linux, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes. Familiar with monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Datadog). Education: B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred.
