YOUR ROLE Our partner, a leading company in industrial automation and packaging, is seeking a Labellers Automation Engineer to join the Service Engineering Department at their Mantova site. The successful candidate will be responsible for automation activities related to the company's portfolio and will serve as a point of reference for the local automation team, reporting directly to the designated Manager. Responsibilities Manage the development of service automation software (standard and safety) from inception to field testing and customer support. Manage and develop software modifications to implement improvements on installed machines, from development to field testing and support. Adhere to guidelines and rules in software development. Collaborate closely with the hardware and PLC/HMI teams. Produce all technical documentation related to the software, including descriptions of upgrades developed. Maintain a thorough understanding of PLC/HMI design. Qualifications Education: Graduate, Bachelor, or Master Degree or equivalent. Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Outlook. Knowledge of SAP. Language Requirements: Good written and spoken English. Experience and Skills: Knowledge of SIDEL Labellers (Standalone and Super Combi). Experience with PLC platforms (Siemens S7 and TIA Portal, B&R, ELAU, Schneider). Knowledge of HMI (Copadata Zenon), Motion platforms (Danfoss, ELAU, B&R), Codesys (ELAU, Schneider, B&R). Ability to manage and fulfill customer requests. Strong skills in meeting deadlines, commitments, and problem-solving. Positive attitude, cooperative spirit, and good interpersonal skills. Rigor, integrity, autonomy, and organizational skills. Willingness to learn. Availability to travel.
