We are seeking a Science Communication and Dissemination Specialist to support the Risk Assessment and Adaptation Strategies (RAAS) Division in communication, dissemination, and outreach activities related to climate change and societal interaction. Role The Science Communication and Dissemination Specialist will work closely with the scientific team to implement communication strategies for research projects, including Horizon Europe and European tenders. Responsibilities include developing communication and dissemination plans, organizing workshops, festivals, webinars, and creating outreach materials such as leaflets, posters, and booklets. The role also involves updating project websites, creating content based on project activities, managing social media channels, and producing engaging content for diverse audiences. The specialist will collaborate with project partners to ensure consistent messaging, prepare press releases, coordinate media outreach, and develop educational resources. Participation in public engagement activities and monitoring the effectiveness of communication efforts are also required. Applicants should be versatile, familiar with photo, audio, and video production, capable of conducting interviews, and designing engaging content. Creativity, proactivity, and media skills to communicate complex scientific concepts accessibly are essential. Requirements Proven experience in science communication Expertise in developing and executing multi-platform communication strategies Experience collaborating with scientists Skills in multimedia content creation and interactive products Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and office software like GSuite Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress and mailing tools like MailUp and Mailchimp Strong editorial content management skills Fluency in English Team-oriented attitude Ability to work remotely and participate in meetings and videoconferences Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad Ability to work independently and collaboratively Duration, Compensation & Benefits Position based in Venice at CMCC office 12-month contract starting June 2025; salary based on experience and qualifications Welfare package and flexible working hours Support for immigration procedures if needed Protected Category Belonging to protected categories (ex L. 68/99) is considered a preferential condition.
