Job Description: Assistant Professor of Business Studies Position: Assistant Professor Department: Business Studies Reports To: Head of Department (Business Studies) Location: Gulzar Group of Institution, Khanna (Punjab) Key Responsibilities Teaching and Curriculum Development Deliver lectures on core business subjects, including Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance, Organizational Behavior, and Business Communication. Develop and update course materials such as syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments. Incorporate case studies, simulations, and real-world examples to enrich the learning experience. Research and Scholarly Activities Conduct research in areas of Business Studies and publish in peer-reviewed journals, books, or conferences. Seek external funding for research projects and collaborate with industry or academia on interdisciplinary studies. Student Mentorship and Support Provide academic counseling and mentorship to students for their academic and career growth. Supervise student projects, theses, and internships, ensuring industry relevance. Institutional Development and Outreach Assist in organizing departmental activities such as seminars, workshops, and guest lectures. Foster partnerships with businesses and organizations for internships, projects, and industry exposure. Contribute to community engagement programs and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Continuous Professional Development Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in business and management practices. Participate in professional development programs, conferences, and workshops to enhance expertise. Administrative and Collaborative Roles Actively participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic planning. Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary initiatives and institutional goals. Qualifications and Experience Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Business Studies, or equivalent. Preference for candidates with a Ph.D. or NET/SET certification. Experience: At least 1-3 years of teaching or industry experience. Fresh candidates with exceptional potential and academic achievements will also be considered. Key Competencies Comprehensive knowledge of business principles and practices. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Proficiency in the use of teaching tools and technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Leadership and team collaboration abilities.
