You'll collaborate closely with our merchandising and production teams, ensuring the seamless journey of a design from concept to final product. Your expertise in block - print and surface design coupled with your understanding of sustainable practices, will help us push the boundaries of responsible fashion. Job Description: Create original textile patterns, block-prints, and motifs to translate them into precise, production-ready tangible textile patterns. Conduct research and draw inspiration from art, culture, nature and beyond, to develop compelling patterns and color schemes that complement our designs and target audience. Integrate sustainable practices and materials into our textile design processes. Collaborate with sample makers and production teams on design constructability and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of all designs. Conduct thorough checks on prototypes and production samples. Proactively identify and resolve potential production challenges. Qualifications and Requirements: 5-6 years of experience in textile design, preferably with sustainable or conscious brands. Graduate/ postgraduate degree in Textile Design from a reputed college. Strong knowledge of block-print and surface design. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. A genuine passion for sustainable design and craft preservation.
