Job Description

My client is a top-tier global hedge fund that’s looking to hire a Graduate Discretionary Trader to join their London office. This is an opportunity to break into a market-facing role at one of the industry’s leading hedge funds. The firm have a collaborative trading floor , where discretionary traders share ideas, take ownership of their books, and directly impact PnL. The firm trade across global markets and products traded include equities, commodities, rates/FX, and credit. This role sits at the intersection of discretionary and systematic trading . Traders work hand-in-hand with the quant research team to enhance strategy development and leverage cutting-edge tools to help generate PnL. Key Responsibilities: Generate and execute discretionary trading strategies across global markets Take direct ownership of risk and PnL Work closely with quant researchers to incorporate data and analytics into decision-making Continuously refine and optimize strategies through research and feedback Collaborate with other traders to exchange ideas in a high-performing team environment Ideal Candidate: Recent graduate from a technical degree (e.g. STEM, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, etc.) Experience from a trading internship or up to 1 year of hands-on trading experience Strong proficiency in Python is required Deep interest in markets and trading Analytical thinker with a proactive and collaborative mindset Why This Opportunity: Work directly on PnL and monetization from day one Gain exposure to a wide range of asset classes and trading strategies Be part of a globally recognized fund with access to world-class resources and mentorship Join a collaborative, flat-structured environment where ideas are shared and celebrated
