Data Engineer

Data Engineer (Remote UK/EU, £60 k) This start-up focusses on healthcare AI and are looking for a Data Engineer to join their team. You will be joining a team of 45 people, including Data Scientists, ML Engineers and 2 Data Engineers. Day‑to‑day you will: Monitor, optimise and rebuild ETL / Delta Lake workflows in Databricks. Migrate legacy ingestion jobs to modern, cloud‑native patterns (Azure preferred, some AWS/GCP). Collaborate with scientists to understand study goals—e.g., young‑mental‑health surveys—and shape the data architecture behind them. Own slices of the backend and grow toward analytics, ML or architecture as you choose. About you 2‑3 years’ experience (or outstanding grad projects) in data engineering Solid Python or R plus SQL; comfortable with Spark / Databricks. STEM degree (CS, Math, Physics or similar).
