Junior Diesel Mechanic (x2)

A leading South African open-pit mining and aggregates company has vacancies for two Junior Diesel Mechanics to join their dynamic maintenance team in Vereeniging . Requirements: Grade 12 (Technical matric preferred) Trade Certificate: Diesel Mechanic 2 years' post-trade experience in surface mining Experience working on mobile mining equipment, crushers, drill rigs, loaders, dumpers, excavators Knowledge of CAT engine systems, lubrication, oil sampling, and interpretation of oil analysis reports Ability to troubleshoot engine, transmission, pneumatic, hydraulic & electrical systems Valid Driver’s License Computer literate (MS Office) Key Responsibilities: Conduct preventative and first-line maintenance on mining equipment Fault find and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems Remove/install components and sub-assemblies Complete job cards, inspections, and reports Perform oil sampling, inspections & adhere to safety protocols Maintain and ensure safe use of tools and equipment Work at various remote sites, overtime, and standby as required
