Video Editor / Motion Designer (Remote Contractor)

NOTE: Please submit an online portfolio when applying. THE OPPORTUNITY IL MAKIAGE is seeking a full-time Video Editor / Motion Designer (Remote Contractor) to support our Growth Marketing team. Our ad style is constantly evolving, and we’re looking for someone with a keen eye for fresh, visually arresting, and social media-friendly content that drives bottom-line results. WHO YOU ARE You're a talented video editor with a strong foundation in motion design, looking for an exciting opportunity with a dynamic, growth-focused team. You have experience working across a wide range of marketing projects, particularly those involving motion graphics, and have a proven ability to transform raw assets into compelling and creative video content. You’re passionate about social media trends, and know how to create videos that resonate with audiences, spark engagement, and even go viral. You excel at bringing storyboards to life and also thrive when given creative freedom to innovate and push boundaries. WHAT YOU’LL DO Design, edit & animate short-form video ads specifically optimized for high-scale paid social advertising campaigns (Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Youtube, etc.). Collaborate closely with the marketing managers to understand campaign objectives, consumer motivations, and performance-driven creative insights. Transform creative briefs and storyboards into compelling video ads that capture attention quickly and drive measurable results, from clicks to sales. Process and organize raw footage, ensuring all files are prepared, optimized, and ready for editing and motion design, maintaining a smooth workflow throughout the production process. Drive creative innovation by consistently proposing new, fresh ideas for video formats, concepts, and visual styles that push the boundaries and engage audiences in exciting ways. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in paid social media, performance marketing, and video content strategies to ensure IL MAKIAGE’s campaigns remain competitive and effective. This is a full-time position based remotely. WHO YOU ARE 3 years of video editing and motion graphics experience, ideally with a focus on paid social advertising or social media content. Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (required). Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Media Encoder (preferred). Strong color-grading skills (preferred). Solid understanding of design principles, including typography, layout, graphics, and color theory. Ability to conceptualize, design, and execute innovative visual ideas. Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Collaborative, open to feedback, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. A "hustle" mentality — you're driven to meet deadlines and overcome creative challenges. Experience with Gen-AI video tools and content production is a major plus. Passionate about the beauty industry and creating captivating content.
