Fall Communications Intern

Job Description:
Earthjustice is a non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting the magnificent places, natural resources, and wildlife of this earth and to defending the right of all people to a healthy environment. It brings about far-reaching change by enforcing and strengthening environmental laws on behalf of hundreds of organizations and communities.
The intern works with the communications department to generate media awareness of Earthjustice's work.
The intern will assist Earthjustice communications staff in preparing and distributing press materials and tracking issue coverage. Interns also work on a variety of research and outreach projects and perform administrative duties.
Job Requirements:
Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in environmental issues and media. They should also have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A working knowledge of online research and MS Word and Excel is required.
We are looking for someone who can work 15-20 hours a week. Start and end dates are flexible.
