Job Description:
We are currently seeking an intern who is eager to learn in a dynamic fast-paced environment, motivated to succeed, and is passionate about doing an internship that will put them on a public relations, marketing, and radio promotions career path. Interns at The Catalyst Group/Phoenix Entertainment Group will receive hands on experience and work directly with senior members of the staff.
Job Requirements:
We are looking for someone who possesses strong organizational skills, writing ability and effective telephone manner, internet and pc/mac savvy, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, and knowledge of social networking sites. We have a detailed path for interns to ensure they are learning and experiencing a variety of aspects of the public relations, marketing, and radio promotions business including:
• proof-reading/drafting press releases and bios,
• updating news clippings,
• updating media lists,
• conducting follow-up calls,
• media coordination at events,
• press conference calls monitoring,
• interacting with studio clients and musicians,
• assembling press kits and press books,
• participating in brainstorming sessions,
• assisting with the creation and planning of record label marketing campaigns,
• working on special projects,
• and general office tasks and mailing.
This is a hands-on, demanding position. We are looking for interns that can begin immediately. Interns must receive college credit for internship.
