Corporate and Social Event Planner
Job Location: Anywhere in US - Any Location, DC, United States
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced sales professionals who will be responsible for growing company revenue through prospecting and probing leads such as destination management companies, receptive operators, and meeting planners hosting events in DC for upcoming conventions. Specific duties include business development, account prospecting, booking corporate and social group events for restaurants and banquet venues that we work with, creating and making proposals, and customer service/retention. This position will utilize primarily phone selling from your home office. The candidate may reside in any city, having said that there may be some in-person selling and networking at industry events when applicable depending on the city in which you reside.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 year in restaurant, catering and/or hotel sales or meeting planning. Excellent communication and organizational skills are needed.
Compensation package consists of commissions, as well as incentives for above goal performance.
Job Requirements:
Candidate should be articulate, professional and have an upbeat friendly demeanor and excellent oral skills. Basic computer operations such as Microsoft Office Applications. Prior sales, particularly restaurant and nightclubs sales experience is a plus.
