Sales & Marketing Intern

Job Description:
We are looking for a committed, curious, motivated, good tempered and organized individual, who might look at a good chance of future full time employment. Someone who is willing to test the waters and see if he or she matches the team by interning and working hard for 2-3 months. (School credits can be accommodated, please discuss requirements at your interview.)
We are looking to fill 2 positions of Full or Part-Time Office Interns at the North American office of Lomographic Society International in Brooklyn, NY for the Fall 2008 season (start: September 2008).
Providing assistance in Sales, PR, Customer Service and Order fulfillment departments (we are not looking for designers, photographers or writers, please apply according to job description.)
Responsibilities:
Assistance in Sales, PR, Customer Service and Order Fulfillment departments.
You will be able to learn a lot about different departments, and by assisting get a lot of hands on experience for the actual picture out there of a small company with curious and immediate tie-ins into NYC fashion and design retail industry.
Sales:
-Maintaining customer account relationships
-Executing sales development strategies with manager (new business development, follow up to sales calls)
-Business development research
-Clerical duties (filing and organizing, maintaining spreadsheets (Excel), data entry, general office help) and Administrational duties- processing returns, invoicing, statement processing
PR:
-Maintaining PR book
- Follow up and provide assistance to media contacts and press agency
-Coordination of media samples
Customer service:
- Providing personal and excellent customer service
- Servicing warranty claims, returns, problem customers
Order Fulfillment:
- Processing, checking and fulfilling of day by day orders
We offer a $ 10.00 stipend/day and a weekly transportation reimbursement for interns who come to the office 3 times/week or more.
Job Requirements:
Experience and Skills:
-Good experience for student
-Computer skills including, Excel and Word (good typing skills a must)
-Extremely well organized and concise
-Detail-oriented and efficient
-Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Articulate
- Ability to work in a team and contribute to group goals
-Punctual
