This Marketing Intern will be responsible for the following:

Application and Tech Note Database
-Design and carry out in-gel multiplex and electrophoresis experiments with R&D and Product Manager
-Process observations and results with R&D and Product Manager
-Outline and draft Technical note and/or application note with R&D and Product Manager
-Publish Technical note and/or application note with Product Manager and Marcomm
-Target Subjects and deliverables for application note/tech notes

1. Stain Free System (Pharma Tech Notes)
a. Coomassie vs. Stain Free: Comparison of fractions taken from Biologic Duofluow System)
b. Use of Stain Free for Western Blotting
c. Mass Spec Compatibility of Stain Free

2. Post-translational modification stains (Pro-Q Diamond/Emerald) and total protein (SYPRO Ruby/Flamingo) performance comparison on ChemiDoc XRS, VersaDoc MP and Pharos FX on 1D and 2D gels

3. Comparison of Nucleic Acid stains on all imagers

4. Resolution comparison on all imagers

5. Quantum Dot Multiplex Imaging on the ChemiDoc XRS

6. DIGE VersaDoc MP vs. Pharos vs. Typhoon

Job Qualifications:

Sophomore/Junior in an accredited college, majoring in Life Sciences (General Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology).

Proficiency in Western blotting, Gel Electrophoresis separation of proteins and DNA, 2D experience a plus.

Proficient in Windows and Macintosh applications. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
