Job Description:

We are now accepting applications for Spring 2009.
Join the gun violence prevention movement and learn how to fight the gun lobby on Capitol Hill and inform the nation about the need for stricter gun laws. Interns at the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence assist in all the following areas:


RESEARCH:
Conduct research on gun violence, the firearms industry, and other topics.
Develop public education materials.


FUNDRAISING:
Assist in maintaining CSGV’s membership directory.
Learn about grants and funding for both organizations.


LEGISLATION:
Monitor state and federal legislation.
Develop lobbying materials.


WEB DEVELOPMENT:
Help improve and maintain the website by scanning and editing documents, uploading new postings, assisting in design ideas, and general computer help.


We will work with you to establish responsibilities that meet your interests and skills. All internships involve some administrative duties. Hours are flexible, and the internship is unpaid. Internships are offered during the fall, spring, and summer and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.
