Development Volunteer/Intern


Samaritan Ministry’s Next Step program helps people change their lives by taking manageable, achievable Next Steps toward their goals, with our encouragement and support. We want to help people to transform their own lives, learning how to avoid obstacles, solve problems, and use available resources and opportunities to make lasting changes. Our philosophy is helping people to help themselves.


Position Description:
The development/fundraising department is looking for a volunteer/intern to:
· track and organize grant deadlines;
· research funding opportunities;
· write proposals;
· file and help with administrative projects as needed.



Working hours: full or part time schedules available. Some work can be done at home.


Skills Needed:
· Attention to detail and organizing skills
· Ability to do research as well as maintain records
· Past experience with Microsoft Access and Word, foundation and/or grant writing a plus.


Position open until filled.
