Sports Public Relations Internship (FALL)
Job Location: Lawrenceville, NJ, United States
Job Description:
Support Public Relations and Event Management efforts of Special Olympics New Jersey Program department.
-Write news releases and alerts; select target media using online database; disseminate information; and follow-up
-Design Fact Sheets & marketing materials for events
-Assist with public relations needs 2009 World Winter Games, 2008 Fall Sports Festival, 2009 State Winter Games, & various fundraising events.
-Maintain event clipping files
-Create post-event public relations reports
Job Requirements:
Journalism / Communications Majors
good writing skills; familiarity with Adobe software, including InDesign; general knowledge of sports is preferred but not necessary.
