Salary Range: $43,684.00 to $56,790.00 / Per Year
Work Schedule: Part-Time(20 hours/week)

The Pathways Internship Program targets students accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled in a qualifying educational program in an accredited institution, on a full or half-time basis with paid opportunities to work in agencies and explore Federal careers while still in school. Applicants must meet the definition of "student" in order to be considered for this opportunity.
Pathways candidates must meet the DOS qualification standards applicable to the position being filled. All applicants must meet the qualifications by the closing date of this announcement.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 at time of application and must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA throughout the entire Pathways Internship appointment;
Degree does not have to be related to the position/series; however to be eligible, candidate must meet the OPM qualification standards for the position to which the Intern may be converted.
Student means an individual accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in a qualifying educational institution, on a full or half-time basis (as defined by the institution in which the student is enrolled), including awardees of the Harry S. Truman Foundation Scholarship Program under Public Law 93-842. Students need not be in actual physical attendance, so long as all other requirements.
This position is located in the Office of the Executive Director, Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR/EX). The Executive Director is a senior advisor to the INR Assistant Secretary, the Deputy Assistant Secretaries, and 19 other office directors, on management and administrative planning and operational matters for the Bureau. This includes fully contributing to the development and analysis of plans, policies, and programs to execute functional and programmatic responsibilities within the Department and throughout the Intelligence Community (IC). The Executive Director manages an operating budget for INR. The Executive Director is responsible for the following functions of the Bureau: Financial and Human Resources Management, Bureau Management and Evaluation, Executive Office Management, Agency and Government-wide Representation, Security, General Services, and Information Technology. The incumbent will work 20 hours/week.
- Acting as liaison with Student Programs, specifically for intern selections, intern on-boarding, etc., for the entire Bureau
- Regular review of the INR Handbook, check-in and –out procedures, and other administrative Bureau functions
- Creating, updating, and maintaining various databases and filing systems
- Escort duties for visitors
- Backup for the office secretary (answering doors, escorting, answering phones, etc.)
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- Must be at least 16 years of age by the closing date of the announcement.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must maintain student eligibility for duration of internship.
- Depending on the job, it may require a Secret security clearance
